Chapters 1-5: Edging, Hickies, Virginity, Feminization, & Cock Warming
I’ve been trying out micro fiction for a couple of weeks to feel like I’m still writing even when my motivation is kinda low. Plus, it’s a great way to practice and even get down into words little scenes in my head that may never make it to a larger story, but are still fun to write.
So after sharing a couple pieces on the Erotica Abyss Discord server, I spent an evening writing a few more. I even developed a system for trying to make a solid story structure to these vignettes.
For each micro fic, I first started with a prompt. Kinktober prompts from previous years were a wealth of inspiration. Once a prompt captured my imagination, I just let my imagination take over. What was sexy or interesting about it? What could happen in a short piece that kept my attention? When I had an idea for a micro fic in mind, I divided it into four parts:
- Introduction (10% of the word count): Introduce the characters and the conflict.
- Lead-Up (30% of the word count): Offer a first attempt at resolving the conflict, but watch it fail.
- Climax (40% of the word count): Offer a second attempt, and watch it succeed.
- Denouement (20% of the word count): Let readers react to the climax, hint at what happens next.
So even for something so small as a 300-word story, I could break it up into parts and really feel those tiny wins each time I finished just a part. Sure, I only wrote 30 words to introduce a micro fic, but that’s progress! That’s 30 words that weren’t there before!
After putting the four parts together, I usually edited them three times. The first edit was typically getting the word count down. It may not be surprising that I always exceeded the word limit on the first draft. The second edit usually involved shortening wordy sentences, cutting unnecessary words or phrases, and fixing clunky prose. Often I also had rewrite dialogue to shorten it, too.
The final edit was usually replacing sentences rather than shortening them. After a lot of cuts, the prose could start to sound choppy and not read smoothly in my head. So I needed to change things around to get it to read right. This often also involved some line editing.
I’ve already got two more chapters to add later on, and I will definitely try to write more!
