Chapter 5 of Locked and Ready for Adventure

I really liked the prompt I got for this chapter, since it was a little different. I never intended to really flesh out these characters or the narrative beyond some one-shot adventures and some fucking. But I did have some notes written about Paul and Jamie that I hadn’t yet shared about them. So this chapter became a part-sexy, part-fluffy fic with some character background as well.

One of the first inclusions of this chapter was that their tough job was in Calais, because that made it easy to include the Orient Express train route into the chapter, which I had been meaning to do. The Orient Express (in the 1930s) ran from northern France, down to Austria, Hungary, and then to Istanbul in Turkey. It was just lucky that I put Jamie’s and Paul’s home base in Vienna!

Something I wanted to explore more in this chapter, as well, was the contrasting dynamic between Jamie being the physically larger one of the two, but also the more submissive one. Since Paul only has one remaining hand, it has been easy to show Jamie’s tenderness and submission when he helps Paul into or out of clothing.

But sexually, even without the chastity cage, Jamie likes to be dominated. It was super hot to write Paul acting like he didn’t give a shit about Jamie during sex, and that being what turned Jamie on so much. Jamie got off on just being a hole for Paul.

The aftercare came after, naturally. I knew this was a smutty series of one-shots, so I wasn’t going to get too fluffy or romantic, but I wanted Paul to do something that felt natural. Paul loves music and Jamie loves wine, so they indulged in those. They are both readers, and since we learned that Jamie is Irish, it followed that he would read James Joyce. Taking a nap post-afternoon sex also seemed customary.

The climax of the aftercare, so to speak, was the boys telling each other “I love you.” I hadn’t yet in the series, and it was due.

Then the cage could go back on and life could resume.
